Exporting sprite sheet creates a redundant files. spriteSheets.xml, spriteSheets 2.xml, spriteSheets 3.xml. maybe iCLOUD issue?

Hello, nice to meet you!

I am having a problem using the export sprite sheet.
when it all works well it ends up with a directory that has

animation/stage.xml
animation/animation.xml
animation/skeleton.xml
animation/spriteSheets.xml
animation/audio/
animation/spriteSheets/sheet_Top-ipad.png

HOWEVER, some times it produces redundant files with a numerical suffix:

animation/stage.xml
animation/stage 2.xml
animation/stage 3.xml
animation/animation.xml
animation/animation 2.xml
animation/animation 3.xml
animation/skeleton.xml
animation/skeleton 2.xml
animation/skeleton 3.xml
animation/spriteSheets.xml
animation/spriteSheets 2.xml
animation/spriteSheets 3.xml
animation/audio/
animation/spriteSheets/sheet_Top-ipad.png
animation/spriteSheets/sheet_Top-ipad 2.png
animation/spriteSheets/sheet_Top-ipad 3.png

I am trying to find out what the issue is. If it is supposed to do this for some reason, or if it is a bug with toon boom or a bug with something else.

One possible issue is the ICLOUD desktop synchronization.
I’m working out of my desktop and i have icloud backup enabled. I have seen for a fraction of a second a file named

“animation/spriteSheets/sheet_Top-ipad 2.png.icloud”

in a non- finder directory browser that shows hidden files. Im not sure if this is a red herring or… a clue!

Has anyone else seen this?

Hello clementshimizu,

If you try to save your files to a non-ICLOUD synced folder (such as an external hard drive or USB stick), do you still see a similar issue? If not, this could mean that the issue is ICLOUD specific, which will help us narrow down what may be occurring and how to troubleshoot it.

Thank you!

Yes, we switched to working out of a non-iCloud drive and it works better. I believe it is a bad combination of Unity3D and iCloud and not a toon boom specific issue.
