Exporting a GIF with a transparent background

Hello,

I’ve recently been trying to use the new “Export to animated GIF” function, but any time I try I am always given a black background on the final product.
I have no color cards and I already set the drawing type to PNG4 under the Write layer properties.
I suppose I could try exporting the frames as individual items with a bright color and just edit them out, but I was so excited to try the GIF function because I thought I wouldn’t have to anymore.

Is there any way I can do this without the big workaround?

I’ve always thought that you cannot do that without the “complicated process” if actually, anybody knows how, I’d appreciate it as well.

Hi. I’m also trying to render an animated gif with transparent. Did you figure out a way to do this? thank you!
