I know there are other lossless formats like PNG (even TGA that is exported with RLE compression), but it would be great that Harmony exports this image format compressed in LZW. We have some cases where our artists exports in 8K TIFs and the size of each frame is 126MB.
The size of the same specifics exported TIFs recompressed in LZW is 1.44MB

That is indeed a great question.
There are several things that need to be taken into consideration regarding compressed formats.
LZW compression is an old technology, less effective algorithm and royalties need to be paid for the technology to be deployed in a software.
RLE compression is an algorithm with easier implementation, better for large images, computer-generated colour images, offers better ratios, and also more efficient in PDF files.
