Export the keyboard preferences

Hello,

As far as I know Studio is THE software for teaching animation (I can be wrong, but that’s my feeling).

It is usefull for teachers to let the students use their own keyboard shortcuts, above all in other countries where the layout of the keyboard gives some problems with some functions.

Ciao!

Hi,

Are you on Mac or on Windows?

On Windows the shortcut setup is stored in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Toon Boom Animation Inc.>Your version of Toon Boom Studio>Shortcut. You could export the folder and load it in the registry of the other machine.

On Mac the shortcut are found in the /Users/YourUserAccount/Library/Preferences/com.toonboom.toonboomstudioX.X.plist. Again here you should be able to copy that file on the other user account and machine and it should recover the keyboard shortcut.

Best regards,

Ugo

I’m on mac, it is good to know and in the meantime I’ll use your hints.

Anyway I believe it might be a good improvement the possibility to export and import the keyboard shortcuts directly by the interface.

thank you ::slight_smile:
