Export MOV as PNG4 files (with alpha transparency)

Is there a way to export panels from Storyboard Pro with the actual alpha transparency in tact? It’s fairly simple to do in Harmony, but in Storyboard Pro I’m having trouble with this.

I’m getting solid white on everything and have to manually remove it from every image by importing it in photoshop, which leaves artifacting and eats away at my soul…

Using a multiply effect might help, especially if you’re working black and white, removes white and keeps the lines. But in Storyboard Pro you should be able to export layers with transparency. The recommended setting for Quicktime film is choosing the codec Animation and Millions of Colours+ on colour depth. This should work as long as you don’t have a solid layer below everything.

Similarly you should be able to export an image sequence in PSD format

No, neither method seems to work for me. I’m not talking about a series of drawn panels but rather a single camera move.

If I have a 1 second camera move, 24 drawings, the export PNG doesn’t create a 24 drawing sequence with transparent backgrounds it just exports a single file…

And the exported video still had a solid white BG when imported into Premiere…

There may be something simple I’m missing, but trying to get a bi-pak of a foreground element exported with a transparent BG (so I can import that OL camera move into different software) seems weirdly difficult and I don’t want to purchase Harmony just to be able to export a simple series of PNG files…
