Erasing when "draw behind" checked

I was drawing on a panel layer with “Draw Behind” checked. I wanted to erase some of what I’d drawn but ended up erasing what was in front. Is it possible to just erase just the part that was drawn behind? Thanks.

When you use the Draw Behind, it draws behind what you’ve already drawn but it draws it on the same layer, so when you use the eraser it will erase whatever is on that layer - it doesn’t distinguish between things that have been drawn with the regular brush or the draw behind brush.

If you want to be able to erase on just that part, then I suggest that you do that on a separate layer. If you want to at the end you can combine things onto one layer when you’re finishing by cutting and pasting everything onto one layer.

Hope this helps.
