I’m trying to animate a horse tail. I have my first frame and I want to erase some of that tail and redraw it without effecting the first drawing.
Does anyone know how to turn this off, or if this is supposed to happen at all.

did you just draw in frame one, extend the exposure and starting editing a drawing in another frame?
If so your issue is that all the frames are the same drawing so they all change to together.
What you should do is copy the drawing, go to the library and move the substition slider to the left so it is a blank image and then paste and you will have a new drawing. If you are unsure have a look at part 1 of my auto lip sync tutorial because I show you how to do this.
