Deformation Bones Moving In Front or Behind

I’ve been working with the deformation bones, but I’ve always hit one major snag with every character I build with them. Is there a way to make the arm behind the body cross over the body layer, as if the character was gesturing over the body with the back arm? I thought about scooting the arm forward on the Z axis, but it pushes the whole arm forward, when realistically it would just be the forearm crossing in front of the body. I’d appreciate any ideas at all! Thanks a bunch!

You will need to copy the part that moves in front to another element and treat this as a special case. You can have a deform chain in front or in back put not part of each.
