computer issue that won't let me open toon boom studio to deactivate it...

Hi, I’ve had problems with my laptop recently, and I want to transfer toon boom studio 5 to my new one. whenever I open toon boom to deactivate the license, the entire computer crashes. I’m told that it’s a hard-drive problem, and if I get it replaced, everything on the old hard-drive will be wiped clean, including toon boom studio. is there a way to return the license via email, and re-activate it on the new computer?

thanks for reading.

Pretty sure that you can log into your Toon Boom account on any computer, deactivate your license then activate to your new computer. So basically you can deactivate it and reactivate it on any computer so long as it is only ever on 1 computer. Not sure if there is a limit to the number of times you can do this…

really? because all the instructions I’ve found tells me that I need to open toon boom itself up, and the computer can’t do that…I’ll try that, though. thanks.

the issue is fixed! thank you, toon boom support!
