Character Rigging

Hello everybody

Here is a video of my character rigged in harmony…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEVmjfoCn_c

do you have any advices on it?

Tks!

It looks great if you ask me! But I would like an explanation of what you are doing and how. And a better look at, and explanation, of the network rigging. As it is, I can see the movement of the character but am not so clear as to how it is accomplished.

It looks fantastic! I would really like to hear and see some more information too. Especially how you build the front to side view rotation. I wish there would be more rigs like this to download and examine
Really great work!

The rig seem to work nicely and be well done. You seem to have good action templates that work with your master rig. Good.

The only comment is I would not use as much the automatic interposition between poses but that you can do when you do a real scene. Make the animation snappier, less mechanic.

As it is, I can see the movement of the character but am not so clear as to how it is accomplished.

The character doing the cool 3D turn is probably accomplished with cutters as demonstrated in this tutorial:

I saw Lilly demonstrating this over at at this years CTN Expo… it’s really freaking cool.

And the arms are probably rigged with the deformer tool… to me, that would be worth getting Harmony if I had the funds haha.

ok guys

I will make a new video soon showing the rigging a little bit more…
but it is basically on drawing into a lot of masks…

the animation is pretty much out of time and with no curves and eases… that’s why it is looking like a robot…

you’re right! It is one drawing into another with lots of cutters making masks… the arms, the legs and the body are rigged with the deformer tool
