Changing Deformers Between Keyframes?

Hello!

So I’m rigging a character, and I have curve deformers on its legs so I can bend them realistically. Problem is, when it rotates, I need to flip the leg. I think the best way to do this would be a drawing substitution, but if I do that the deformer no longer works properly. Is there a way to sort of reshape the deformer on a new keyframe?

As far as I know, what you’re asking is possible by creating a new Deformation Chain, this article might help you:

I think you’d need Premium to add that to your rig.
