My daughter took a class using Toon Boom, and the files she created in class will not open in Toon Boom 7.0. Is there an updated version and if so how do we get it?

I presume your daughter was using Toon Boom Studio at school ?
As far as I know the newest version is Toon Boom Studio 7.1
(until version 8 will be released).
