Can't open Toon Boom Animate 3 on my macbook air 13 with Mojave

I just updated my macbook to mojave and tried to install Toon Boom Animate 3 from the “My Downloads” tab. I tried to open the software after installing but it doesn’t work. I only get a message saying “Adobe animate 3 can’t open because of a problem” Is mojave the problem or is it something else?

You’re probably being blocked by Apple GateKeeper.

Remove the folder /Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher.
If the folder doesn’t exist skip this step.

Uninstall the software by dragging it’s folder to the trash and
then empty the trash. Do the rest from an “Admin” class user account:

  1. Open a terminal Window from Applications/Utilities and run the
    command: sudo spctl --master-disable
    in the Terminal application
  2. Go into the System Preferences and from there to “Security & Privacy”,
on the General tab set “Allow Applications downloaded from:” to “Anywhere”.
  3. Download the installer (if you don’t have it anymore)
  4. Mount the DMG (i.e. click on the installer for the software).
  5. Drag the the icon of the software to the icon of the Applications folder.
  6. Start the software by right-clicking (or ctrl+click) and selecting Open.

I tried that didn’t work
