I downloaded Animate 2 to a my Macbook Pro, followed the instructions to copy file to applications, but when I try to run Animate, nothing happens.

Sorry if this is obvious (and insulting lol), buuuuut… have you checked your Macbook Pro meets minimum system requirements? How old is your Macbook? Which OS are you running? And did you download the latest version from your Toon Boom account dashboard?
