Have a client who wants to give me a ProRes QT with alpha that I’d animate over top of. I’ve asked him to give me png sequences (which of course works great) but file size is much larger with image sequences vs. the QT. I’ve tried bringing it in but end up with a black background, any thoughts?
Not sure, why Harmony can’t read the Alpha Channel of the Apple ProRes 4444 movie file ?
Toon Boom Studio 5 can !
Workaround:
Open your ProRes 4444 movie in Compressor / Add Open EXR Image Sequence.
In the Inspector / Image type / select PNG / Start Batch.
Import this Sequence into Harmony.
