Camera Rotations etc. in Animate

I’m thinking of getting Animate as an upgrade to TBS 4.5.

Does the camera rotate in any direction?

Also, is there a “zoom” feature?

Anything else I should know about the cams?

I suggest you trying Animate Pro PLE for the test. Animate has all the features you are looking for except real 3D camera that moves in y-axis. In Animate Pro, you can move/rotate the camera as well as the object in real 3D environment.
