Bones out of alignment

Need some input on what is happening when I use IK.

I can get a character fully rigged and working properly (bones connected to the right pivot point etc). Once I move the character forward or back in the “Z” direction, the bones are displayed way out of alignment and no longer is functional. It seems the further away from 0 (Forward or Back) the furhter out of alginment the bones become.

This happens with the animate button on and off.

Is your character spread out quite far on the z plane (when you look at it on the top view) or is it pretty much on one line with just pieces nudged back and forth? Perhaps you could attach some screenshots of this issue - just upload your screenshot to a free site like photobucket and paste the links here.

When you move the character back, are you moving it back with the transform tool, the move tool, the maintain size tool?

I created a simple two layer rig. This issue happens with both the transform tool and the move tool.

Everything looks good in top view.

I have discussed with R&D and this is a known issue that has been fixed for Animate 2.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. I have pre-ordered the upgrade.

In the future it would be nice if these known issues were added to the knowledge base. It would save me time trying to figure out what I am doing wrong and it turns out to be a software issue.

I will pass on your comments about the Knowledge Base - we will work on making it more thorough!
