Bones not showing up when using Inverse Kinematic Tool

This may be a super noob question, but I’ve been looking for hours for some answer in tutorials and documentation.

I’ve looked in some tutorials but when they click on the master peg with the IK tool selected, it always shows a lot of red bones, I tried to set up my character IK for the first time but when I click on the master peg with the IK tool selected nothing appears.

What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the Animate button and the IK tool button selected in addition to the object selected?

(Animate 2 but the information is relevant.)


You’re right, I didn’t have the animate button pressed, I try to leave it unpressed while I rig. Sorry it took so long to reply :).
