Auto-Matte on same layer as the drawing?

Hi everyone,

That new Auto-Matte function in Storyboard Pro 5.5 is very useful. Although I would like to know if it’s possible for the auto-matte to go DIRECTLY beneath the drawings we want to matte, i-e as it it was a Draw Behind (so that means the auto-matte would be on the same layers as the drawings).

Because right now, the Auto-Matte automatically creates a new Layer that goes underneath the layer of the drawing.

Hi Quentin!

Unfortunately I believe the auto-matte will always generate on its own layer, however what you CAN do is merge the two layers after generating the auto-matte by selecting the layers you want to merge, right clicking and selecting ‘merge layers’. Hope this helps!
