Animate Pro 3 - Curve style animation

Hello,

I’m learning Animate Pro 3 and I’m having several challenges. I hope this is a good place to find some answers to my “newbie” questions.

Here’s one:

When I’m using my Deform Tool to create a Deform Rig by clicking in a few places things go pretty well. When I’m trying to do a “Curve Style” Deform everything goes crazy. The points show up all over the place. It seems to have something to do with the anchor point, or what ever that white diamond shape thing is, but I just don’t know for sure.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks, Eddie

Hi youngeddie,

I just upgraded from animate 2 to pro 3 and have the very same problem. If I find the answer I’ll post it or let you know.

Thank you,

Animate Pro 3 only does bone style deforms. Curve styles require Harmony.

Hummmm…

Thanks for letting me know… that’s really disappointing.

I know this is a 2-month old thread but I just started here.

Do Bones do the same thing as what is described in that link regarding Deformers? Maybe a better way to word it: What is the difference between Bone style and Curve style Deformers?

EDIT: I think I found the answer. Posting link here in case it helps anyone else:
