adding deformation moves drawings

When I go to add a new deformation to a new character in a scene an already existing character’s arm (with deformations) jumps off the character as soon as I click on the deformation button and turn 180 degrees to resting position. I have no clue where to start looking for what I have rigged wrong. I’m working in Harmony 12


Never mind the arms pop back on when I finish adding the deformation. I feel stupid now
