A question about drawing substitutions

As I understand it, drawing substitutions are drawn as additional drawings, but they’re created on the timeline, on the layer of the specific body part. For example, a character has 25 different hand poses or gestures, so they’re saved on the hand layer, on 25 different drawings. However, drawing really are nothing more than frames on the time line, so my character always has 25 frames of animation associated with it. And when I really wish to start animating, the first 25 frames will cycle through his 25 different hand gestures, no?

Once you make a new drawing its saved in the library, so you can delete the drawing cell from the timeline and then use the library to swap the drawings whenever you need to.

Huh… ok then… I’ll give this a looksee tonite. Thanx.
