A character with deformers looks strange in render view

Hi, I have a character that looks fine when I view in open GL (picture attached) but messes up everything in Render view (Picture attached).

I can’t find a reason why. My hunch is it is something to do with deformers. If I disable his hand the whole character disappears (in both views). turning off other drawings and pegs has no effect in render view.

You need to set the “Influence Type” your curve or bone to “Shaped” or “Elliptic” instead of the default “Infinite”. Keep the zone of influence as tight to the body part as possible if the body part is overlapping another part of the character.

Also check the Z-order of your elements in the Top or Side window. Zoom-in tight so you can see if something is off in the front/back ordering.
