I see networks routinely stating that material submitted for programming is now required to have 16 bit colour. With Harmony Standalone 11.1 I still don’t see a 16 bit or higher PNG format offered for rendering. A lot of high res formats currently offered don’t translate well across different operating systems and platforms, especially when rendering on a Windows system. Plus, they take up a lot of space. I am right now using the PSDDP format, but it is a compromise. PNG is hands down the best choice for distributing [work in progress].
I just left a request for this with Toonboom support. Hopefully it’s not a major amount of programming to add 16 (maybe 32) bit PNG output.
